Filiz Ekrem

Filiz obtained a Bachelors in Business & Law from De Montfort University, before completing the CPE Law Conversion Course and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law London.

Filiz has worked in criminal defence for over 25 years and specialises in representing clients from the police station stage through to trial. She has extensive experience in serious and complex cases, including allegations of murder, serious assault, drug offences, gang-related crime, sexual offences, and terrorism. Her attention to detail and in-depth legal knowledge enables her to provide clients with thorough, practical, and considered advice.

Filiz takes the time to build strong relationships with clients, offering support and guidance when they are at their most vulnerable and navigating unfamiliar processes. She is particularly passionate about defending individuals with mental health difficulties and those from marginalised communities disproportionately affected by the criminal justice system.
