Kenya Freitas

Trainee Solicitor & Police Station Representative

Kenya obtained her Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Westminster. She began her career as a legal consultant, advising companies and embassies on contracts and partnership agreements, before following her passion for criminal defence. She is particularly drawn to this area of law because of its profound impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and the opportunity it provides to secure fair and just outcomes for her clients.

Kenya is a qualified Police Station Representative and frequently represents clients at interviews under caution. She also manages a wide range of matters, including those at the police station, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.

As part of her training contract, Kenya has also been responsible for managing several private criminal matters and regulatory cases, giving her a broad range of experience across different aspects of defence work.

By the time I had contacted Nelson Guest & Partners, my Court case issues had proceeded apace. Kenya Freitas acted quickly and decisively to unravel the various strands. This involved clarifying complicated events that had occured over about 2 years. Kenya liaised with the Police, Magistrates Court, the Nelson Guest & Partners legal defence agent in Medway, and was successful in obtaining Legal Aid for me. She carried out research, analysed the options available, and advised me on all the steps I needed to take. Kenya was instrumental in getting a fair outcome for me.
